Kotaku is reporting that Assassin’s Creed III will be hitting store shelves on October 30th of this year. Ubisoft has stated that this game will include a brand new hero and although details on the setting and the rest are scarce. The news of the game’s release date was announced via Ubisoft’s call with investors.
Kotaku has a pretty interesting quote from Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot:
Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot says the game will be “the biggest launch in Ubisoft history.” He said the game has been in development for three years.
Three years seems like a long development time in games these days and sounds like Ubisoft has had this game planned for some time. I look forward to seeing the setting that Ubisoft chooses for this entry, whether it is set in history or sticks with Desmond to wrap up the modern-day conflict, Assassin’s Creed meets Splinter Cell?
