A poster over on NeoGAF stated that he received the latest issue of Game Informer and inside was a preview of a new portable Assassin’s Creed game for the PlayStation Vita. The game is rumored to be titled Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and is said to star a new female Assassin.
The poster over on NeoGAF has given some details about the game. It is supposed to come out the same day as Assassin’s Creed III (October 30th) and is supposed to feature “True Assassin’s Creed Gameplay”. The game is reported to be in development by Ubisoft Sofia. The game is also said to have multiplayer support which is tailored to the Vita specifically. It will take place in the same time period as Assassin’s Creed III but will take place in New Orléans and across the Gulf in to Mexico.
The game will feature the entire city of New Orléans and you will be able to explore all of it without having to load a new area. The new Assassin doesn’t sound to be connected to Desmond and could be named Aveline. Reportedly, she is of French/African descent.
I really hope this rumor turns out to be true. The images reportedly captured from Game Informer look very cool and the game sounds incredibly interesting for my Vita.
